Another Year Goes By....

No woman is ever happy about growing older.
Yes, with age comes wisdom, family, a myriad of things in life to be grateful for.
Yet we never quite get over the dreams we once had, that we now know will never be.

Anyway, tomorrow is my birthday. My dream-guy of a husband bought me exactly what I wanted, he is so dead on with this stuff.

~A 2-carat Ruby pendant on a beautiful chain (my birthstone, NOT cheap)
and
~a 1944 WWII Russian Sniper Rifle - a "Mosin Nagant".

-This is me a few days ago getting ready to shoot the monster. The empty casings are from the Winchester 120 shotgun. My monster "Natasha" takes the same ammo as an AK-47- powerful and scary as hell - if you are on the wrong side of it.

Its been a very busy year so far, and I think the best thing to happen is The BIKE.

Riding on the back of the bike, arms around my husband, rolling up and down mountains, zooming past trees, peering into the forests, seeing things I never saw before, the sunlight on my skin (yes, sunlight, on ME) is such an amazing feeling, that I cannot describe fully...

Its like a 60 MPH walk through Nature, seeing the finest she has to offer, all while my arms are wrapped around my Love.

PAWS is Still Going

Its been a long time since I took this shot. I used to go to PAWS every few months to help update their websites with new cat photos. Each cat had such strong personality. It wasn't like I was at a shelter, but an orphanage.
I remember this cat well, she was adopted out shortly after this photo was taken.
So many people asked about her from this little web ad I made, but not too often about the other cats. Sometimes I wonder if I had used another cat, a "senior" cat, if that cat would have been adopted out as easily.

The shelter closed last winter, but is still a fostering network in North Jersey.
